François Noisette crosses the villages of Lorraine and Champagne (France) with its “bench” knife grinder. Invited in celebrations of old trades, in flea markets, there is no shortage of humour. In addition to a water tank indispensable for sharpening, a bottle of Mirabelle (Lorraine’alcohol) completes his gear. What we assure our knife grinder is not an alcoholic, it is only for local color ! François Noisette is more an artist than a real grinder. It nevertheless contributes to knowledge and the perpetuation of this trade became rare.

Update : François Noisette will be to Haut Koenigsbourg (Alsace) Sunday, October 5 for the feast of trades as part of events marking the centenary of the restoration of the castle.
